#100. Guided Spring Bear Hunt Over Bait GUARANTEED HUNT
Imagine, first rate lakeshore cabins surrounded by dark-green spruce forests inhabited by bears, deer, moose, wolves and other wildlife. Good friends, good food and campfire camaraderie. That's what it's all about!
"Black Claw" is very popular among archery hunters because it offers the highest chances to bag one of those glossy black bruins. Our baits are "hot", it is not unusual for our archers to observe 3 to 8 bears feeding on a bait at the same time. To achieve such results, we lease a vast private territory (no free access to general public) with virtually no bear hunting pressure. This area is bordered by two Provincial Parks, including a Wildlife Sanctuary, where no public hunting is allowed at all. Bow Hunting Canada has managed this unique area for years especially for bow and arrow hunting. Today, we can provided you with the best bear hunting in Canada, offering you the privilege to hunt a large population of black bears including many mature trophies.
Baits & TreeStands
Our baiting sites are chosen after careful scouting the bear´s patterns. We use portable stands installed 11 to 15 feet above the ground and approx. 15 yards from the bait. This set up provides the best shooting opportunity, but even at such a close range, killing a bear requires a perfect arrow placement. The bear's vital is an 8" square spot just behind the front shoulder. It makes no difference how good you are, if you don't get a perfect arrow placement, you will get nothing but a wounded bear. When hit, a bear will not lie down and bleeds out like a deer. But rather, will run until he dies which could be for miles. Therefore, a good hit is essential.
